QThink Delivers Milestone 0.13um 7.25 Million-Gate Multimedia System-On-Chip Using Constraint-Driven Design Approach
SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 3, 2002--QThink®, the leading
"pure-play" front-to-back VLSI design firm, today announced that it
has successfully completed a 7.25 million-gate SoC chip for a
low-power wireless multimedia application.
The design included integrating both customer proprietary and
third-party commercial IP (22 sub-blocks plus an ARM9(TM) core) and
was successfully taped-out to a commercial 0.13-micron, 6 level metal,
single-polysilicon technology. The resulting core-limited die size was
40 mm2. QThink used its Constraint-Driven(TM) methodology along with
commercially available EDA tools to complete this milestone project.
